Voter registration deadline
Monday, October 5, 2026Boards of elections and the Ohio Secretary of State's office stay open until 9 p.m. that day.
Tuesday, October 6 to Sunday, November 1, 2026Vote at your county board of elections or its early vote center. Hours change by day and include Saturday, October 24, Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1.
Tuesday, October 27, 2026, by 8:30 p.m.Your county board of elections must receive your signed application by 8:30 p.m. You can fill it out online, but you must print, sign, and mail or hand-deliver it.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, by 7:30 p.m.Mailed ballots must arrive by 7:30 p.m., so mail yours early, or return it in person to your county board of elections or its drop box.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
